Parents Plus at the Family Resource Centre National Forum Conference 2025

Parents Plus CEO, Cherie Tyner, and Head of Implementation and Practice, Dr Eileen Brosnan, were delighted to attend the recent Family Resource Centre National Forum Conference 2025 to witness the incredible efforts and achievements of our dedicated community partners in the FRC programme.

Taking place at the Hodson Bay Hotel in Athlone, the conference showcased a diverse range of  presentations highlighting innovative work with families and communities.  It was a valuable opportunity to learn more about the work of Family Resource Centres and celebrate their positive impact.

We were especially proud to hear from Parents Plus facilitators Jayne Sherlock and Selena Osborne from Athy FRC. They gave an engaging presentation on their experience of delivering PP programmes in their community. It included powerful and authentic video testimonials from parents, which are always so inspiring. This of course is our central goal at Parents Plus; trained facilitators delivering quality programmes in an evidence-based way to ensure the absolute best outcomes for Parents. Thank you Jayne and Selena, you represented our programmes and charity brilliantly!

Practitioners in FRCs across the country deliver the suite of Parents Plus programmes to parents in their localities. The conference highlighted again the importance and value of working collaboratively to empower families and build resilient, supportive communities.
