Consisting of two videos containing over three hours of teaching tape, a comprehensive leader’s manual,extensive parent handouts and the textbook Solution Focused Groupwork, the programme forms the basis of a twelve week early intervention course that uniquely combines individual videoed sessions with parents and their children as well as group teaching sessions with parents. The teaching tape illustrates parenting skills using snippets of actual parent-child interactions involving over forty parents and children, input from professionals and comments from parents who have successfully completed the programme. The manual contains background information, session plans, the full video text along with handouts and homework assignments for parents.

These practical half day consultation/ supervision workshops are designed for Parents Plus facilitators who are looking to enhance their practice and skills and to meet other facilitators who are currently delivering parenting groups. Open to all facilitators who have completed a basic training in one of the PP programmes and/or who have started to facilitate parents plus groups. Attendance at Parents Plus Consultation days is necessary for facilitators working towards accreditation.
